Yousry Sharif
An acclaimed dancer, choreographer and teacher of Oriental dance and Egyptian folklore, he is regarded by critics as the faithful continuer of the Middle Eastern tradition. Thanks to his dynamic spirit, he is always on the move, taking part in seminars and festivals all over the world. Able to convey his great passion for dance, which for him is Dance, with a capital D, beyond any other specific definition, he is able to create magical atmospheres, from a thousand and one nights, even in unexpected places that at first glance would not lend themselves to the occasion, because they are closer to our everyday life, but Yousry Sharif has the ability to overturn physical space by creating his own magical space. Behind each of his movements is a meaning rooted in the tradition of Arabic dance, which invites and engages audiences of all ages, which expands oriental dance from a mere feminine dance to a universal form.
His knowledge and skills, and his long work in the field have led him to be so recognised in Egypt and internationally that he teaches his ‘Yousry Style’ in workshops!
Wael Mansour one of the best choreographers and solo dancers of Egyptian dance
Wael Mansour was born in Cairo, he studied and graduated in the best folklore schools in Egypt, and in a short time become part of the most famous dance companies present in Cairo in the 90s, especially appreciated as a solo dancer.
His experience has now been enriched by several collaborations with film, theater, television, and participating in quality teaching in numerous national and international festivals in Egypt and in all the World!
He lives currently in Italy where he teaches throughout the country and worldwide. Wael’s goal is to spread out a deep knowledge of the innovative Egyptian dance through theatre and educational programs.”

Our mission is to offer a unique and unforgettable experience to all oriental dance enthusiasts attending our Jewel of the Nile festival in Egypt. We want to share the joy, inspiration and passion of Middle Eastern music and dance, while highlighting the culture and history of this fascinating country. Have fun in a friendly and inspiring atmosphere. We are preparing everything to make this the most extraordinary trip for your dance career!
Our Vision
Our goal is to create a unique and unforgettable event for all belly dance enthusiasts, both professionals and amateurs. We want to offer an opportunity to learn, have fun and share with the best teachers and artists in the world, in a magical setting like Cairo, the capital of oriental dance. Our festival is called 'Jewel of the Nile' because we want to celebrate the beauty, culture and history of Egypt, which is the Jewel of the Nile. Our festival will take place from 29 August to 4 September 2024 and will offer a variety of activities, including:
- Workshops of different levels and styles of belly dancing, with international and local masters
- Evening shows with high-level performances and live music
- Cultural excursions to visit the wonders of Egypt, such as the pyramids, the Egyptian museum, the Khan el Khalili bazaar and much more
- Costume show and bazaar with artisans and vendors of typical products
- Belly dancing competition with prizes and awards
- Closing party with dinner, music and dance
